I haven’t decided yet whether I like Vulture, the first single from Patrick Wolf’s forthcoming album The Bachelor. I definitely like how the vocals are mixed, but I definitely don’t like what he looks like in the video. While Wolf has always been about terrible hair and horrific outfits, and while I generally have no problem with an S/M aesthetic, I’m not sure that his sudden move towards Ministry-esque eighties industrial makes any sense.
Then again, I haven’t yet heard the song when I wasn’t watching the video, so maybe I’m just having trouble distancing the catchy-ish melody from the sight of him being all Johnny Bondage Twink in the clip:

Speaking of weddings, Our Hit Parade today did their 100th cover of the year (!), a medley of Beyonce’s Single Ladies and Khia’s eternal My Neck My Back. It might actually be the best effort yet in their tireless cover-a-day blog. (Which is going way too fast, by the way. 2009, I mean. Christopher Weingarten is also up to 225 in his quest to Twitter-review 1000 albums this year. And I think he’s behind a goody fory or fifty reviews at this point.)
