I swear, Craigslist is the fucking worst.
I’ve said it before, many times, and I keep thinking they’re going to change but they never will. Never.
I’m working on a semi-super-secret photo project involving naked dudes (surprise) and thought that, since I recently got a new phone, I’d try to recruit models via an adult gigs ad. I’ve been shot down by Craigslist many times before and they’ve blocked my old phone number (which is required for “adult” ads) but figured I’d give it a shot with the new digits since, you know, it’s free.
And it got blocked before it even went up. And now I’m guessing that my e-mail address and my new phone number have been permanently tainted and/or banned from the site, just like the old ones were. I e-mailed them and bitched them out, telling them that there was nothing in my post that was remotely in violation of their terms of service and that I get better customer service and quicker answers from the cable company. I expect, in eight hours or so, to get some kind of automatically generated form letter detailing everything that could have possibly been wrong.
In the meantime, if you know any guys in the southern New England area that like taking their clothes off for semi-super-secret art projects, tell them to drop me an e-mail. It doesn’t pay well, but I’ll feed them and ply them with whiskey and I think I’m sort of fun to hang out with? There’s no sex involved, it’s not particularly porny, and all the shoots will be solo, if that matters.
