Mixtapes for Hookers

Fighting the cold, the wind, and my own laryngitis to go to Boston today.  To psych myself I’m listening to some Boston-y tunes.

Here’s Star Ghost Dog, whose 1996 Happylove album (especially the song “Plus de Vaches”) used to make me very happy indeed.  This is “Holiday,” from the follow-up The Great Escape.  I bought them both back when I made it a point to buy CDs from the “local artists” section of record stores, back when those existed; I made a few good choices based solely on album art and band name and song titles, this being one of them.
